A Passion for Horses, A Commitment to People

Four Willows Farm was founded on a simple idea: to share the joy, challenge, and reward of horseback riding with people of all ages. Located in Greenwood, Indiana, our family-run farm offers a peaceful, welcoming space where riders can learn, grow, and connect with horses in a safe and supportive environment.

With decades of combined experience in horseback riding, instruction, and horse care, our team is passionate about helping students build confidence in the saddle and knowledge on the ground. Whether you're brand new to riding or returning after years away, we’re here to support your journey with expert guidance and genuine care.

Our lead trainer has spent her life working with horses. Her deep understanding of horse behavior, riding techniques, and student development allows her to teach with clarity, patience, and purpose. Every lesson is customized to the rider’s needs, with a focus on safety, positivity, and progress.

A Place to Learn, Ride, and Belong

At Four Willows Farm, we go beyond basic riding instruction. Our goal is to teach students how to ride well, care for horses responsibly, and develop a lifelong appreciation for horsemanship. Whether you're interested in casual riding, structured lessons, or preparing for competition, we welcome you to be part of our growing equestrian community.

We teach children, teens, and adults — from beginners as young as three to advanced riders working on competitive techniques. No matter your starting point, we’ll meet you where you are and help you reach your goals.

We believe that horseback riding is not just a sport, but a relationship. It’s about learning to communicate with another living being, gaining confidence through challenge, and developing skills that carry over into every part of life.

Well-Cared-For Horses

Our horses are more than lesson partners — they’re members of our farm family. They are healthy, gentle, and carefully matched to each rider’s level and comfort. We take pride in providing them with the best care and surroundings so they can, in turn, give students their best.

Focus on Horsemanship

We don’t just teach students how to ride — we teach them how to understand horses. From grooming and tack to reading body language and building trust, horsemanship is at the heart of our programs. These lessons help students become thoughtful, responsible riders with a deeper bond to their horse.
