What to Expect in Beginner Lessons
Our beginner lessons focus on creating comfort, safety, and understanding before moving into more advanced skills. Lessons are paced to match the rider’s readiness and confidence level. Each session typically includes both groundwork and mounted instruction.

You’ll learn:
- How to safely approach and lead a horse
- Basic grooming and tacking up
- Mounting and dismounting
- How to sit, steer, stop, and turn
- Riding at the walk and beginning trot
- Balance and body position in the saddle
- Building confidence with basic riding patterns
We use positive reinforcement and clear explanations to help every rider feel successful, even in their first few sessions. Lessons are always adapted to individual comfort levels and learning styles.
